Outing Grade 2A
Outing Day for our Grade 2 students!
Our grade 2A students are applying Math in real life situations by doing activities in the supermarket. They are given missions to solve. First, the teachers gave them some cash, and they need to calculate how much money they have in total. Then they are asked to read money notation on price tags. Lastly, they need to buy food with the money they have and are not allowed to exceed their budget in doing so.
This outing is one form of application of “Learning by Doing”, one of our 5 principles. We believe that learning by doing makes the children as active actors. They should learn to set goals and to solve problems both independently and together with others.
