MHIS English Fair

On the 27th to 31st of August, Mutiara Harapan Islamic School conducted a program called English Fair. The aim of this program is to foster the students’ ability in English. Each division has created their own way to execute this program.



Throughout the week, the preschool students learnt the English subject every day. For example, PG Class learn about the alphabets by arranging puzzles. KG A did the whispering games and the KG B made word satay in English.

They also prepared for their performances that were showcased on the last day. The school invited the parents to join in and watch the performances. The PG Class danced to Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes song. While the KG A danced to Hockey Pockey song and KG B also danced the Gummy Bear song.



The English Fair demonstrated the beauty of learning and using English Language globally. Through this, the students’ confidence in consistently speaking English at school had raised. Our beloved students showcased their talents and wits in presenting poetry, storytelling, public speaking, acting, singing and dancing last August 31, 2018. Not only that, the English Fair Booth was filled with the written poems, stories, slogans and books made by our bright students.

May the beauty of English Language continue to spread and grow more, so everyone will love and embrace the language wholeheartedly.



Secondary students together with their teachers have worked strenuously to prepare for their respective booths. The students were divided into seven different booths namely, Language booth, Famous Author booth, Poster booth, Poetry Booth, Speech booth, Fable booth and Greek Mythology booth.

Students who were assigned to each booth were tasked to explain their work to every parents and guests who visited their booths. The learners understands how important it is to practice using the English language so they did their best to explain their creations in English. Most parents and guests were really impressed with the creativity of the students in designing and decorating their booths as well as their proficiency in using the English language.
