The Grade 4 and 5 Scouts had a fantastic Camp outside the school on April 5-6, 2018. They started the day blissfully with checking their uniforms’ tidiness, showing their group yell and setting up tents with Scoutmasters. Students were enjoying various activities including fun games, cooking, art performances and campfire. In addition, we approached students with religious activities such as praying jama’ah, muroja’ah and self-reflection.
The Scouts came out of it with lessons that only an experience can teach – working in group, making the best of a situation, problem solving, leading and following; all at the same time as growing close to one another through the meaningful experiences. What they got from this experience also includes deeper relationships with others they know well and can trust, as well as the skills that will hopefully help them significantly through their life.
