IMG_1934Student orientation is usually a very frightening thing for students. They are always thinking that they will do activities that are not fun for them but Mutiara Harapan Islamic School turns all those perceptions into something fun. Fun Orientation Day is a 3 day event where the teachers, management and staff welcome the new students and provide them with the information that they need. It is held from 12th to 14th of July 2018.

This activity aims to make students excited in facing new school year and can increase their sense of belonging with school environment. The school prepared a lot of fun activities to ease the anxiety of moving to a new school. On the first day students performed various games that were part of the team building with their new school mates. It was useful to have them getting along with each other and hopefully, in the next academic year; they can be friends and work together as a team.

The teachers also guided and provided information about the different facilities that the IMG_1969school provides. New students were also introduced to the old students through various ice breaking and collaboration activities. This is also a venue for us  to introduce the Cambridge Education system and how the school will support the educational and personal goals of the students. Mentors and coaches from different extracurricular classes gave a presentation on what they can offer to cater the interest of each students.

Overall, the Fun Orientation Day was able to achieve its goal to provide an overview of the school’s education system and environment to the new students, as well as welcoming all students as we look forward to an exciting and productive 2018 – 2019 academic year here at Mutiara Harapan Islamic School.
