Learning chemistry is sometime hard for students because chemistry is talking about something abstract. Meanwhile, students need something can be seen, touched or sometime tested. Grade 10 learnt about chemical bonding using ball-and- stick model to recognize single, double or triple chemical bonds of various compound. From this activity, students also learnt about valency, covalency and some properties of the compound especially the covalent compound.
In group students have to create as many as molecular model they could, and they have to explain what molecule model is that and winner is Tarissa and Sabina’s group.
In this activity, students learnt to communicate and collaborate their ideas in a form of molecule design. Problem solving and critical thinking are other skills that students have to apply to manage the resources they have.
